My little girl is nearly 3 and I’m starting to get broody 😂 just watching her interact with our friends baby is giving me the new baby itch but I had a high anxiety pregnancy and did not enjoy being pregnant and I really struggled post partum.

We always said we'd like to have another when our little one was 3. I found postpartum really hard at times and I was constantly going back and fourth in my own head but the feeling of wanting a sibling for our little one was stronger. I considered going back to work full time and it sparked the conversation about having a second child. Baby no. 2 is due in March 2025 and our little boy is 3 in December this year 😊

aw congratulations ❤️ did you know it was right instantly after that after that conversation or was it more of a discussion with your partner? Surprisingly it’s me that’s always said no and my partner has always wanted her to have a little brother or sister 😂 but watching her with babies has got me thinking differently about it xx

I love having 2 but also hated pregnancy, it’s worth it. I don’t think I’ll be getting pregnant again but sure loved giving birth again and having siblings is an amazing joy for us.

I had a terrible first birth and really tough post partum. I remember crying everday to my partner saying I will never go through that again but I’m so happy my baby is here. Then I don’t know what changed in my head (maybe seeing how cute my little man was and how much I loved him…and then thinking of my childhood growing up with brother and sisters) and I started considering a second one. By the time my little guy was 1 I was convinced I wanted another baby and we were fortunate enough to fall pregnant straight away when we started trying. They will have a 22 month gap

I didn’t plan to have a second baby let alone so soon but I have a 1.5 year old son and a 3 month old daughter. I love their relationship already as my son adores his sister. It just melts my heart watching him try to comfort her when shes crying and a lot of the time he can get her to stop crying. It is definitely difficult but in my opinion going from 1 baby to 2 is sooo much harder. I also did not enjoy being pregnant as I was extremely sick for almost 30 weeks but my second pregnancy was a breeze. Postpartum with my son was rough as he had colic so I was sleep deprived but my daughter sleeps extremely well and is a great baby. It is a hard adjustment at first but it’s definitely worth it. The second baby also gives you such a confidence boost because you already know to expect and what to do.

We knew we wanted 2 but post partum was tough for me. We moved house last year and decided to try. Our son was 3 in April and being pregnant was much harder this time, mostly due to not being able to rest as much (and morning sickness was much worse this time). But I'm sat here holding my 4 day old daughter and our family feels complete, but it is early days so I don't know if my pnd will return

thank you. Yes, as soon as I realised how much he wanted a second one too, it just felt right. Haha my husband was way on board with wanting children even before we got married but I wanted to wait a while. Pregnancy the second time round is tough as I'm so exhausted but I still feel like it was the right decision 😊 x

I really struggle with the decision to be honest. My daughter is nearly 2 and I had a horrible pregnancy, birth, and postpartum so I really don't want to put myself, my husband and my daughter through that. She has such a lovely relationship with both of us and I don't want her to have to share us, I just want to do my absolute best for her and if she had a sibling I know I'd always feel like I was having to compromise. So I'd say I'm 90% sure I'm done. But, me and my husband are both from 2 child families so I never really thought I'd just have one, and I worry that she'll be lonely and want a sibling when she's older and it's too late (I'm 36). I barely speak to my brother now (he lives in NZ) and my husband doesn't get on with his that well, so basically the only reason "for" in my eyes is to give her someone to play with! Just hoping she makes some really good friends instead.
