Gender at growth scan

Hey mamas!

So I’ve been referred for a growth scan as my bump is measuring too big - at my 20 week appointment they weren’t able to see the gender due to the baby’s position, would I be able to ask the sonographer at my growth scan if they can see? We did have an early private scan which said girl but would be nice to have it confirmed if possible.

I’ve had a few growth scans (knowing I’m having a boy) and at every one of them they’ve confirmed it was a boy without me even bringing it up x

Awww amazing! I’m having a mild panic that I’ve bought all girls stuff and thrown away all my sons baby stuff 🤣 so would be a bonus to double check before the birth! Xx

There’s no harm in asking I’m sure they would be fine with it. I had 3 anatomy scans due to her being in a difficult position. None of the times they mentioned gender so I asked on all to confirm and they were fine with it. X

Yep they will be able to tell you / confirm the gender.

I asked for confirmation at my growth scan yesterday and she was fine with that :) I don’t think they’d necessarily go out of their way to check the gender if baby is in a really tricky position but seeing as they check femur length at a growth scan they’re in the right sort of area anyway so they’ll tell you if it’s easily visible!

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Fed up

Anyone else just feeling fed up in general? I just never feel happy anymore. Wake up dreading what the day ahead of us will be like.

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?

32 weeks

32 week growth scan and clinic appointment. Did anything unusual happen? Ive heard a few people saying 32 weeks was when they had a induction date
