Elective C Section Booking

Could anyone please advise how soon you can book your date for an elective C section? Is it something you can book months in advance or? Thanks!

We decided last minute to have. C section, I told my midwife at 40+4 and was booked in a few days later at 41 weeks. I would just let your midwife know in your next appt and they will be able to get the right person to call you

I think it generally depends on each trust as I’ve heard of some people only receiving the date like a week before. I got mine 5 weeks before

Depends on a number of things. I managed to get mine booked at 15/16 weeks at North Middlesex by an Obstetrician.

I booked mine at around 24 weeks x

I told them straight away at the booking appointment I wanted an elective section. I had my birth choices appointment at 21 weeks. I will be told the date of the C-section at 32 weeks (I’m currently 27).

They booked mine in a week before to happen at 39 weeks

I booked mine at my first midwife booking appointment! Had the consultant meeting at 20 weeks and got given the c section date at 21 weeks x

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Hi guys so I’m 25 weeks today and I haven’t felt the baby kick at all yet at the scans she’s moving constantly that it’s hard to get the right measurements my first pregnancy was cryptic so I just want suggestions from one worried mother

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?
