My daughter’s birthday is also the first!
We are doing a smash cake! :)

My son is Oct 2nd 🧡 we are doing a "One happy camper" theme because he loves being outside. I don't think we're doing a smash cake, but maybe yogurt with fruit? Idk lol. SpongeBob theme would be pretty easy I would think. Get a pineapple for centerpiece. Dollar store or Amazon probably has some decorations too. I feel like anything you do for the 1st birthday is more for the parents/loved ones because they won't remember it, but it's fun and they can look back on the photos 😊

My daughter’s birthday is on the 1st too!! 🥰 I’m doing a smashcake photoshoot, no party, we’re going on a trip instead🤗

I do a theme! I did Minnie Mouse with my first, lemons with my second, and now with my third (her and I share a birthday and it’s close to Halloween) we are doing “a spooky one” or “boo-day”. I’ve never done a smash cake photoshoot but a little cake for them specifically at their birthday party! 🙂

I’m making a lower sugar smash cake and regular cupcakes for everybody else haha. Doing a where the wild things are theme - actually got some second hand decorations from fb marketplace! Have fun :)

I’m not 100% sure but I wanna do a little smash cupcake/cake cutting with just us at 12am on her birthday (the 10th!) and a little photoshoot. And maybe follow it up with a little party with only close family later in the week, definitely themed, I was thinking berry first birthday or pastels.
