Four month sleep regression

I don’t know how many of you have hit this yet but we are in the throws of the four month sleep regression and my husband and I are like walking zombies. Any help or even just solidarity is welcome. 💀🫠

It's exhausting 😪 I cried everyday, and was anxious every night. Sleep deprivation is the worst....ours lasted around 4 weeks. I think (I pray) were just coming out of it only to begin teething 💀 although our daughter definitely seems to have learned new skills during that time like babbling more, grabbing her toes and trying to roll. Stay strong and stick together ❤️

Babies also go through a leap at 4m and honestly it’s been the worst stage and I have a 2.5yo and a 15mo. Check out the wonder weeks, it explains leaps which are huge mental growth spurts where they learn something new!

I'm right here with you!! Our daytimes are (currently) still pretty nice, but nighttimes are the worst - much worse than when she was a newborn. We're coming to the end of week 3 and I'm just hoping that we're on the way out (although currently there is nothing to suggest this is true)....x

We’re 3 weeks in now and hoping it ends soon🙈 it took us 1hr & 20mins to get our little girl to sleep last night and then she woke up every hour😅 she’s not too bad for her day time naps but she’s definitely a bit more grumpy at nap time and sometimes does cry

Luckily the positive side is she’s found her feet (plays with them constantly and is starting to pull her socks off🤣) and is learning to roll x

We’re struggling too ❤️‍🩹 leap four plus the four month sleep regression is a lot… I hope it passes soon for us all x

I don’t even know what week of it we are on or what day it is but I am right here with you. Naps and feeds all over the place. Night before last he didn’t settle into a deep sleep until 3am and then woke at 6am. Currently asleep in my lap after a feed and I don’t want to move him in case he wakes! He’s so tired bless him 💙

I can write books about sleep derivation, so trust me, I know how you feel. It does feel like it lasts forever when you are right there, but you will sleep again and you will forget most of how you felt. I had to go through it on my own with my first and I don't even want to remember that. Best advice is team tag - one sleeps in another room with ear plugs whatever the first part of the night, then you switch, so each of you gets a solid 5-6 hour block of sleep.

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
