Weekly activities

Those of you who’s babies aren’t in daycare what weekly activities do you do? We currently do music class once a week (Wednesday) the rest of the week is kind of up for grabs. On Friday’s we visit grandparents. We like to do story time and sensory class and once a month we do gymnastics. How are you guys structuring your weeks? I like to expose her to new experiences and social interaction. We’re like 97 % screen free so any ideas are welcome.

I’m following because all we do is walk to the park and swing and do 5-10 mile walks a day… partner and I are both antisocial homebody’s but need to do more for the kiddo

We are screen free except when I trim my daughter nails.

We have zoo yearly pass, crawling/ gym class at “my gym” weekly, swim lessons, music classes, story time, children museum yearly passes, etc.

We love any place that allows her to crawl around and interact with other babies.

I try to schedule an activity once a day, it makes the day go by way faster. She loves being out and about.

5-10 miles a day is fantastic! I’m not so patiently waiting for it to get cooler in TX so I can walk further than the end of my
block 🤣 great suggestions thank you once a day is the goal too she loves it as well!

We get plenty of social time just through church/church activities, time with our families, going on walks with friends and such. Of course personal family time too.

fair! We do other things like Cosi which is an interactive science museum regularly but it’s an hour away so it’s more like once a month or 2 depending on our schedules.

Swimming or open swim is super fun!

we used to do swim lessons and she used to love them, but after we got to 3 seconds underwater she started hating it and literally screams everytime she sees the pool. So we’re taking a little break from swimming 🥺

that makes sense. We started going to the library. She likes that outing and they have reading sometimes

Avatar

yess we love the library and story time :)

So I don’t have the car during the day time unfortunately since my husband takes it to work, so we’re limited as to where we can go, especially until he goes down to 1 nap so I’ll have more time to get to places by public transportation.
For now, we have a wonderful group in the park with moms and Nannies with babies around the same age. We go there almost every day and they share toys, sing songs, etc. it’s awesome and it’s free! We just kind of came together organically.
There are other activities in the area but they are all during his first nap! It sucks!!

that sounds like such an amazing community. I wish I was walking distance to something so wonderful.

it is! Do you ever meet other moms at your closest park?

Hey everyone my baby is 5 months old and I want to reduce/cut screen time as I have read up on how bad it is what activities did people do to keep their baby entertained. Thank you in advance.

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?
