Rolling and crawling

My baby has just turned 8 months. She is rolling constantly front to back and back to front. If she wants something she is rolling to it however this means she is not crawling and gets frustrated so just rolls instead of staying on her front and trying to crawl. Is anyone having the same thing with their baby?

My daughter would do this and show no interest in crawling, only this afternoon she has started doing the army crawl but dragging her head along the floor at the same time bless her😂

@Maya did you do anything to help her to crawl?

rolling crawling is a still a type of crawling! just because it’s not the traditional crawl we all know doesn’t mean it isn’t a crawl, my daughter did rolling crawling, pushing backwards, army crawling, traditional crawling and the bear walking on hands and feet when she got bruises knees from crawling but no she just traditionally crawls x

Mine crawls but can get frustrated if she needs to roll, like she gets stuck on her back. To get baby to strengthen neck and other muscles for crawling, I placed her on her stomach and did dancing and singing so she’d hold her position

Not really, she would try to get on all fours but would just fall on her belly so i tried to support her when she was on all fours apart from that she just picked it up herself! It’s so hard when you see other babies the same age or even younger doing stuff that your baby isn’t

My lg is exactly the same! Don’t forget not all babies crawl :)

My LG is the same; only the last couple of days she’s been army crawling more than the rolling x

My baby did this as well. As soon as she learned to roll, she was all over the place. However, she discovered that crawling was a way easier way to get around! It’s just the way babies progress!
