Labor and delivery

Did anyone get sent back home from labor and delivery when they was 4 1/2 cm dilated and 90% effaced with water bag bulging?

Haha yes they sent me back (40 min for the road back home) in the late evening because I had „no contractions, just the baby moving“ a midwife was telling me. Horrible because of course I had contractions. I had to suffer the whole night at home and in the morning I came again and I guess it was 4cm or a bit less when they told me I have to stay. So normally at 4 they need to let you there.

Yes I was at 5cm and wasn't getting any mrle dilated so they sent me home twice! When I came the third time they would've sent me home if my water wasn't breaking. I was practically gushing and they couldn't tell until I said something that I was in active labor but still dilating slow

Some hospitals will send you home to avoid a cascade of unnecessary interventions. It happened to me, I was sent home early labour after having some pain relief then came back when the pain relief wore off and I was 9cm dilated by then.

Whoa! I guess it depends on the hospital. I was admitted to the hospital even though I was only 3cm dilated and 70% effaced but then again water had broken and they wanted to keep me to reduce the risk of infection

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
