Due in February with twins, this is our first pregnancy so looking into car seats and we can’t figure out which will be better?
Do we get carry-style car seats with ISOFIX bases to be able to carry the twins out of the car (say, if they fall asleep or if we’re just transferring between car and house). But then we will need to buy two new car seats once they reach approx. 15 months old as they will outgrow them.
Or, do we get convertible ones that cover groups 0-3, meaning we shouldn’t have to buy new ones, but we will need to unclip them and carry them or transfer to pram every time. This might get tricky for me to do on my own when my partner returns to work.
Buying two seats and two ISOFIX bases and then having to buy another two car seats less than two years later obviously works out much more expensive than just buying two car seats that cover all groups, but is the ease of transfer worth that difference in price? I’d love any insight into this as it’s really stressing us out! Thanks so much

Two car seats with isofix that maybe clip onto a double pram? I would say
Sell them after your done and use that money towards two new ones
Babies sleep a lot and it’s easy to transfer from car seat into house rather than having to get them
Out x

I thought you couldn’t sell car seats as you’re never meant to buy them secondhand? X

iv only ever bought second hand and great condition
Obviously no signs of serious damage or anything but many car seats aren’t bought brand new but up to you personally

You aren’t supposed to sell car seats

not advised by guidelines but many people do and many people buy them 😁
Facebook market place and even stores take them and resell not everyone can afford multiple brand new baby items and their babies and safe and loved which is the main point x

A lot of 0-3 seats aren't suitable for newborns and tend not to be good fits to start with. Worth having a look on the Car Seat Safety UK Facebook group (I wouldn't stay on it for long though, it's a bit full on!)

we have 2 infant seats with isofix bases that attach to the pram. I’m 11 days into twins (also have a singleton) and just the thought of having to move them out of the car seats into the bassinets and back again just to nip into Tesco for a loaf of bread stresses me out. The attachment to pram was a non negotiable for me
Most longer term car seats while marketed as newborn to 4+ actually won’t fit a newborn especially those on the smaller side

know what you mean about the page!... Also I felt that page was a bit of a scam, just promoted their own highly expensive car seats
