I’m 25 weeks today and have had minimal movement over the last 2 days after a very active 2 weeks. The midwife says this is normal for before 28 weeks. But why am I still worried? Anyone else had any similar experiences?

I def have, I’ve got an anterior placenta so it’s super hit and miss! I went to my triage with reduced movement and all checks came back ok! She said 28 is when it gets more regular but even then could be sporadic over the whole pregnancy, it’s super hard and I’m super anxious but if your really worried just give the triage a ring and they will help ❤️

I’m also 25 weeks and had the same scare on the weekend and went to triage to get baby checked as just didn’t feel right. Baby was absolutely fine, midwife just said she’d got herself into a position where I couldn’t feel her as I’ve got an anterior placenta, but to always get it checked out. So if you’re still worried, I recommend going to triage to get checked out, it instantly reassured me when I heard her heartbeat and just gives you such peace of mind xx

I’m 25 weeks and 5 days and the exact same thing, what I’ve put it down to is growth spurt because from 24 weeks to 26 they have quite a big growth spurt, and he was going days of being active and then the next day he would be very quiet until around 10pm and I would be worried, but midwife said that they aren’t forming regular patterns until after 26 weeks, and that’s when If they have patterns!

Patterns don’t form until the third trimester. They say that as long as you feel the baby through the day prior it’s nothing to be concerned out however, if you are ever concerned ask to be seen by triage. Sometimes our motherly instincts can pick up on something that wouldn’t be a typical concern c

Thank you ladies, I felt silly calling triage at first but so glad I went in and got checked! It’s so reassuring x
