Can anyone tell me if in expecting too much?
So currently 26 weeks back ache and tired as we all are at this stage, I work in retail 8 hours a day, my managers don’t seem to care that from time to time I need to take a little bit of time away from the madness. I work on the shop floor as well as on tills but the chairs have no backs and are seriously uncomfortable. So I try and juggle tills and floor, I asked if they could get me comfier chair like a office chair to help me be on tills more and they have said I don’t need one just need to get on with it.
The company I work for are a large well known company but the managers just don’t seem to care that it’s effecting me mentally day to day. What can I do about this?

I would contact HR and tell them you have asked your manager for a different chair and they have refused x

I’d take it to HR or speak to a union if you’re in one? They HAVE to do a risk assessment for us when pregnant, multiple times through pregnancy too. Hope this helps in some way but definately take it further and bring it up with people higher than just your managers if they’re being like that! x

Contact HR! They are legally obliged to make adjustments to ensure that you can continue to work! Sounds like they are absolutely shocking and this needs to be taken further x

Like everyone said, speak to HR, but if you're not getting anywhere with them, the next best thing you can do is contact Acas! They should be able to help!

HR, risk assessment needed. Go off sick worst case (if you get paid still).
