I am so sorry. I was sent home on Sunday. They suggested Tylenol, lidocaine patches for my back, and baths. I've been taking benadryl to sleep too, but it's like I have too much nerves and adrenaline that I can't. I've been using ice packs on my back and surrounding myself with pillows. Sleeping when I can, no matter the time of day.

Rest. As hard as it is early labor is meant for rest. The more you stress about labor, the more it will stall dilation

Try leaning into the contractions and moving through them, swaying, bouncing on a ball, etc. with pain it’s natural for us to want to tense up and resist it but that’s actually counter productive when it comes to birth. keep the lighting low in your house, there’s some sciency reason it actually helps you progress through labor quicker. Unfortunately not much else you can do other than try to remain mentally calm

Everything these ladies said! And I know it's discouraging maybe sometimes to be sent home but trust me you are way more comfortable in your own home with your own things surrounding you then you would be going through hours and hours of early labor at the hospital.

I’m in the same boat !!
Went in on Sunday just to get sent home . . Rest up as much as you can I know it’s tough but please try !! We’re almost at the finish line , I’ve tried teas and lay down to attempt for a nap ,
Use hot showers and get on all 4’s let it run on your back seems to help me a bit . . . And perhaps this is tmi , but if you’re comfortable w your partner try having sex I know it’s tough or we don’t feel up to it but it does help , as well as masturbating it’s relieves the pain and helps induce labor .

Just to add you can progress really quickly . Don’t let anyone tell you about your own body xx

Unfortunately it’s very normal, I’m sorry you’re frustrated. Try your best to rest, even if you can’t sleep

The contractions hurt worse when I lay down in my bed for some reason

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?

Groin pain?

So I’m 34 weeks with my second and for a couple days now I’ve had terrible groin pain so bad that sometimes I can’t even walk or shift a certain way or I feel like the baby is just gonna rip out of my groin… I definitely was uncomfortable towards the end with my last pregnancy but this is just absolutely awful. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or anything that helps?? It’s making it so hard to still care for a toddler when I can barely move without pain..
