Help needed

My baby was jaundice due to some bruising he got during delivery.

Best advice I can give is keep feeding regularly. The baby pooping out the bilirubin is how jaundice goes away naturally.

We did have multiple follow up visits with our pediatrician the week we were home so they could keep testing his bilirubin levels to determine if he needed to use one of the bilirubin blankets. Probably a good idea to contact your pediatrician if you feel like the symptoms of jaundice are persisting (color and extra sleepiness)

my baby had jaundice, but had to have two check ups for it after being discharged, her yellow eyes didn’t go away until about a week after discharge , just keep feeding & making sure he is pooping!

My babies jaundice didn’t clear until she was nearly 2 months old, I was told the eyes are the last to clear xx

Our LO had jaundice and we just fed regularly (tricky as jaundice makes them sleepy usually 😴 ) but I think it was a month or two until symptoms fully cleared.I hope it sorts itself out for you x

It's also helpful for baby to get a bit of sunlight. Sit by a window with some coming through or go outside for a few minutes a few times a day. Obviously not for an extended period of time, but it's helpful. Similar to the phototherapy boxes they put them in at the hospital.
