Constant croupe!

My 2 year old has now gotten croupe for probably the 7th time in the last 6 months! The docs always say that its common in this age which i know it is! Its just i cant take it anymore! Shes always crying in pain, im always having to get dexmethasone for her and sometimes 1 dose doesnt even work! I dont know hpw i can make her less prone to getting it or what i can do to treat it, anybody in the same boat please feel free to share some advice!
