Snuzpod

Hey, I'm having my first baby in February and we're thinking of getting a snuzpod but it says on the website that they're only suitable up to 6 months and i feel like it's quite a bit of money for only 6 months of use.
Has anyone else used one for a bit longer?

Most next to me cribs only last 6 months, depending on the baby you will be transitioning into a cot after that. My little boy was out of his at 3 months but I got mine second hand off marketplace. Just had my second baby girl and done the same, I can’t justify full price

All next to cots are until about 6 months, of course if your baby is under the weight limit for them and still fits in them you can use it longer but after 6 months they usually go into their proper cot x

My little one hated the next to me, we got a Moses basket instead for the first 6 months.
We brought second hand as there’s no point spending money we don’t have, just bought a new mattress for it and anti bac’d it x

At around 6 months babies usually learn to sit up, which makes bedside cribs unsafe as the sides aren’t high enough.

We got a Snuzpod off Facebook Marketplace for £40 and just bought a new mattress for it.

Personally I didn’t like the Snuzpod that much and wouldn’t bother with one if I had another baby. Some people swear by them though! But at least if you get one secondhand you haven’t lost too much if you don’t think it’s great.

Loads of people I know said it isn’t worth the money and their babies didn’t like the snuzpod or the next to me crib. We are going to get a toddler crib from the start and just attach it to the bed level with our mattress as recommended by a friend

My little girl grew out of the snuz pod at 4 months - it is actually really small! I would personally go for something bigger. She did love her snuz pod but for £200 it wasn’t worth it imo x

We got one on marketplace, just bought a new mattress for it. My friend then borrowed it for her baby, and we now have it back for our second.

We loved it, my little boy stayed in it until he was about 8 months and he's a very big, tall boy. It's more when they hit the weight limit that you need to move them out of it. Didn't take up loads of room in our bedroom and he always slept really well in it as he felt secure with it not being too big xx

I got one second hand off fb for £35 as I didnt think the price was justified for 6m. I think they are smaller than many other next to me cribs - may have to get something bigger around 4-5m x

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
