My girl is VERY stubborn. She is walking, but learned on her own and didn’t want us to hold her up. She doesn’t mind being held and has hit most other milestones no problem. She just doesn’t seem interested in clapping or waving. She’s waved a few times but not continuously when asked. She point along in books when we read to her. She just kind of stares when we try and get her to clap. Should I be worried? We plan on brining it up with her pediatrician

Every child is different, I set up a ton of play dates and toddler classes throughout the week. Interaction with other toddlers that are the same age as her, it has been a game changer for our family.

If it makes you feel any better, mine is clapping and waving BUT no where close to walking! It’s amazing how each baby is so different and sometimes we have to remind ourselves it’s not us and we are hard on ourselves sometimes. It’s hard not to compare too if you have another child. She may not want to do it yet but this age is still so young and they’re learning and exploring so many things at once!

@Yazmeen same mine is clapping and waving but refuses to walk lol

thank you for the advice ❤️

thank you so much! She’s my first and I’m the first of my friend group to have a baby. So it’s hard to tell what I should be concerned about

Mine stopped waving and claps sometimes I think they’re just going through the next milestones wouldn’t be worried about it
