Taking baby in uber or taxi

Can I please get some advice on taking babies in uber or taxi? I don't drive and so far my husband is taking me everywhere since he drives. But I do want to go places when he is at work. I have a doona I car seat stroller but I am not sure how easy it is to take baby out in an uber or taxi? Would appreciate any tips.

Following cause I am wondering the Same

You can seat belt the doona in. But they shouldn't be in a car seat for more than 30 minutes as a newborn or 2 hours for older babies, so it's great to have the doona for a whole day out. They need to lie flat and be able to wriggle as well as making sure they're not chin to chest which can obstruct their airways

Personally I would prefer the bus as Ive experienced some shocking uber driving. My brother in law had a driver fall asleep at the wheel 3 times during a journey once! I used to take my nephews out in their prams on the bus years ago before I could drive and I felt very safe xx

I'd just take public transport personally.

We've never used a taxi with our little boy because of the guidelines that say that baby doesn't have to be in a car seat in a taxi. We've just always used the bus, which, luckily, our little boy loves.

I wouldn’t use a taxi service as most are not insured to have a baby in the car. I would take public transport.

Thank you everyone for suggestions! There aren't many buses where I live but I can take the train. So I might try that. It's good to know doona can be strapped in to the car seat!
