I’ve got a 2 year old who was an early walker and has hated being in the pram right up until a couple of weeks ago where she’s decided she wants to be in the pram 🤦🏼♀️
We just got the carrycot for her current pram and going to baby wear if we’re out longer days etc. Now I’m realising the mistake and I need to get a double but I’m struggling with what to get. I’d ideally like a bugaboo donkey duo but I’m not willing to pay the price for it new and the ones I’m seeing second hand just aren’t great. I’m not sure on what other pram to get and it’s stressing me out now. I have a growth scan in 2 days and if baby boys growth hasn’t calmed down then the likelyhood of me having my section before my current planned date is very high so I feel like I’m on a total time crunch to sort things out 😭

I think sometimes it's the novelty of the pram and they can go through phases of wanting to use it. As she will know baby is due soon and seen the pram come out and everything it might just be that this has made her want to go in. My nearly 3 year old has been playing with all the baby toys we've got out of the loft and I've just let him to get it out of his system.
He does still occasionally go in his pushchair if we are going somewhere that has a lot of walking but I figured that in this case I can still take the pushchair for him and have baby in the carrier. I know some people use a buggy board on their pram for their toddler so this is another option.

I’ve got a 2 year old and decided to get a double pram but one that also turns into a single as I know she won’t need to be in it everytime we’re out so went with an I candy, I got it second hand off Facebook but it was in really good condition!
My 2 year old was walking at 10 months but she still uses the pram quite often as after a while she wants to be picked up 🫣 but I don’t drive so obviously more reliant on using a pram and walking to get around places x

see it’s not that we’ve taken the pram out for baby, it’s just always been there and she has never been interested. But even on walks where I’ve not taken it she’ll ask for it and refuse to walk any further at times. She’ll then come in and out of the pram on walks we have it. I just won’t be able to carry her about when it’s walks myself with the kids so just stressing. I think I’m beat to just get a double to be on the safe side as if not I’m only going to get out the house in short bursts and I love to get out long walks x

I’m looking for a side by side as I’ve seen so much about ones that are infront as the weight distribution goes funny apparently 😂 yeah my daughter was 9 months but proper walking at 10. I do drive but I love getting out walks for my own sanity 😂 just need to keep looking x

My daughter turned 2 in January, I've stuck with the single... if i struggle, then I will get a double but my thoughts were see how it goes first t

I had the out and about nipper double and it was brilliant but quite bulky in terms of storage especially if you haven't got great boot space. However quite often I would have my 3rd child when she was a baby in carrier and toddler in pushchair and switch and sometimes toddler walked whilst baby in pushchair or carrier

We just got the cybex gazelle but it is a tandem style. Fits in the car fine though as it's not overly bulky x

I have the same dilemma! My girl is 19 months, was walking by 11 months and much prefers to be down/walking. But would need to be in the pram for a longer day out. I’ve been torn on what to do for the whole pregnancy because I prefer the side by side and Donkey Duo ticks a lot of boxes but very wide for London and we are in a flat with stairs. Also my girl screamed in the bassinet from 5/6 weeks and never went back into it until she was 6+ months and in the stroller seat and was carried everywhere. So I’m like if this baby was the same then they’d be no point having one with a carrycot because there are more options that are duo strollers and not as wide but in stroller seats. My girl will also be at the childminder 4 days a week. So was going to convert her pram back to carry cot and see how that goes. And then if a day with all of us she’d go in her yoyo and just baby wear the newborn or take 2 prams (fox & yoyo) if husband is with me and it’s a longer day.

But then I’m like ahhh I should just get a double! The donkey does fold to a mono about the same size as the fox because seat is smaller. I’m keeping an eye out for a second hand donkey. An Uppababy vista came up the other day but don’t like the idea of newborn down low and if you’ve had a c-section that wouldn’t be good initially. It really is a dilemma! Just hoping I see something secondhand soon that makes me take the plunge. But also if it happens after baby is born that’s probably ok as can see how we get on with baby wearing/existing prams and if we can hold out for 6 months then options open up again as no carrycot needed.
You could also consider the attachable ride on seat for prams? Wouldn’t work for a nap but for tired legs might be ok.

I got a very decent mountain buggy duo from Facebook marketplace, pretty much new for £150. There's a lot of rubbish on there but if you keep looking you should find a good one!

Cybex Gazelle is great. But if you didn’t want to get a new pram.. have you thought of getting a buggy board attachment instead - you can even get ones that come with a seat. Just an alternative option to explore if it helps. As others have said Facebook Marketplace is an option X
