Do we need to wash muslin clothes and blankets?

Stupid question… I know we need to do clothing for baby but never thought about muslins or blankets.

What are you doing girls?

I have, I've used fairy non bio and washed literally everything xx

I will, you never know what nasty germs they got from all the people touching them at the shop!

I have but that’s because muslins go so much softer after being washed

I washed everything just to be sure 🙂

I’ve washed everything that I can only because I know how much I feel things in shops before I buy can only imagine how many other people do it haha xxx

A lot of these things are made in factories abroad and pass through a lot of hands before being shipped. Some fabrics are sprayed/ treated etc. All that before they even make it to a shop 🙈x

I've washed everything that will come into contact with the baby - clothes, blankets, sheets, any fabric baby books/toys. Newborns are especially vulnerable so we need to try to limit exposure to germs as much as possible

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Bedtime routine

I have a 12 week old and we struggle to get him to sleep in his next to me crib or Moses basket, so he sleeps in bed with us which means we’re struggling to have a bedtime routine as he won’t sleep till i go to bed with him.
Any suggestions please as he doesn’t sleep till around 11/12
