Gift for best friend giving birth

My best friend is giving birth at the end of this month and although I’ve got a few gifts (a couple of keepsakes) I’d like to get her something really special for the birth of her boy.

Did anyone get anything in particular that they absolutely loved?
Thanks x

I got a personalised blanket with baby’s name which I use basically every day Or you can wait til baby is born and get a picture frame with date/time/weight/name of baby?
Also would suggest buying mum some pressies as that’s probably more thoughtful than baby! Like nappies or a little pamper sesh (facemask/cream/lip balm)

I bought my friend pj's for afterwards, and she bought me the same back as she loved hers so much 🩷 it's nothing particularly special but something nice, cosy and well worn 😅 x

The best gift I got was a home cooked meal that I just had to warm up 🥰

A gift card for deliveroo or UberEats

Lovely pjs or robe, gift card for food or drop off a dinner/treats to the front door. Personally I would avoid spa type products- I could barely shower and felt like an absolute failure as I couldnt work out when I was meant to be having baths and lighting candles etc

The best gift I got was actually a hamper of baby everyday products mittens, wipes, nappies etc which also contained prosecco and chocolates for mum and dad (I had gestational diabetes so choccies were real treat for me) and a nice pair of pjs could lounge in for those first couple weeks with note attached saying was ok and expected too 😂

I think a cooked meal or deliveroo voucher you cannot go wrong. Pjs sound good too!

If you had a c section did they announce your hemorrhoid status in the recovery room?

I don't remember this from the first time but when they were moving me to the recovery bed they flipped me over like a fish they just caught, examined my rear and announced "no hemorrhoids" to the room. 😭😂

Well I tried 🤣

I’ve spoke to a few on here recently regarding Csection date and said I’d be begging for a date at my 28+5 week appointment .. I tried but got told no 🤣
On a brighter note they’ve promised they book it at my next consultant appointment at 31+5 so let’s hope they keep their word🤞🏻🤞🏻

1st birthday party

Is it really that bad if we dont celebrate my lg 1st birthday party?

Me and my partner has been torn if we will have a party for our little girl's 1st birthday party? As, my family will not be here( living in other country) and his family is somewhat not in good terms. So basically its just some of my workmate and some of his friends. Also, i dont know how to arrange a birthday party at all plus i dont usually dont know how much money i have to spend?😔😔
Now, i feel so deflated. I need help badly. Thank you.

Staying Home 😫

Hey, good morning! So, I've been told to stay home from work because it's not safe for me and the baby. I'm only 15 weeks along, and I might be off until after maternity leave. I'm getting paid to be home, but I'm starting to feel depressed and lonely with nothing to wake up for in the morning; I just sit around all day watching TV. It's been like this for three weeks. Does anyone have any ideas for things I can do during the day to pass the time? I can't get another job; no one will hire me, and I just feel really lost. Any advice would be great, as I'm struggling – there's only so much cleaning and organizing I can do. Thank you.
