Hey, good morning! So, I've been told to stay home from work because it's not safe for me and the baby. I'm only 15 weeks along, and I might be off until after maternity leave. I'm getting paid to be home, but I'm starting to feel depressed and lonely with nothing to wake up for in the morning; I just sit around all day watching TV. It's been like this for three weeks. Does anyone have any ideas for things I can do during the day to pass the time? I can't get another job; no one will hire me, and I just feel really lost. Any advice would be great, as I'm struggling – there's only so much cleaning and organizing I can do. Thank you.

I’ve been the same but since I was 6 weeks pregnant and I’m now 18 weeks pregnant. When I went for my 16 week appointment I talked to my midwife about how I was feeling and they said they can sort out group talks and stuff but I honestly couldn’t imagine anything worse than talking about my feelings to a group of strangers. I also have no friends around me as I moved 2 hours away from where I used to live nearly a year ago. So I’d also appreciate if there is anything I can also do to keep me occupied. Baby girls room only needs a new carpet and it’s ready 😂

Had this with my first and I made a daily step goal, started learning French and how to sew (with the old sewing machine from my grandma) and tried to get three strength workouts per week. Also try to meet other mums to be and I loved just sitting in a café with a good book - not something I could afford every day but every now and then. Maybe there’s something you always wanted to learn about :)

Out of interest what do you do for a job that’s dangerous? Could you do some volunteering at a local library or something similar?

I have a 2026 bingo - things like learning to crochet or knit you can make things for baby.
On mine I have things like baking, hiking, days out, places to visit where I live that I have never been to etc

I was home from that point too and absolutely loved it 😍
Been home ever since too
I exercised and got my body prepped for labor and delivery. I read and enjoyed being outside
