Will be 16 months PP for my C section

In October I will be having baby #2 via c section 16 months after baby #1 via emergency c section. I am wondering if any mamas have had 2 c sections close together and how was the recovery of the second time? I am a little anxious that it will be more painful than the first time.

Just had a second c-section when my son was 21 months. Definitely not more painful and if anything was easier because I knew exactly what to expect and how to recover. You’ve got this 🫶🏼

My bff had her 4th c section, all four babies very close together and all okay!

Yes 1st emergency c section and second baby 13 months later via regular c section 3 csection 3 years later. So my girls are 5,4,19months

I had an 18 month gap, first was an emergency and second was planned. My recovery did take a bit longer the second time but overall was still fine! I think the biggest issue with recovery and a small gap is that your toddler is still so little and you kind of can’t not pick them up all the time, so it’s difficult to rest properly which can delay healing. I was walking around like an hour after surgery and fully healed around 5 weeks later. Was fine with paracetamol and ibuprofen after day 1

C section vs Induction - advice please!

So I’m really conflicted - basically, after finding out at 34 weeks my pregnancy is classed as high risk due to previous SGA baby (6lbs at full term), after having growth scans the past two weeks I’ve been told this baby is on 97th centile and I’ll either need an induction or a planned section, and I really don’t know what to do. My first labour was horrific, I was induced due to PROM and ended up in theatre with a forceps delivery, had sepsis, an episiotomy and lost a lot of blood - but my recovery was fairly fine. So now having to decide whether to go through that again, with potential complications of a ‘big’ baby (I’m still not sure I trust the growth scans?) I don’t know if to chose an elective section instead, but that of course comes with its own risks and longer recovery, and with a wild 3 year old and a dog I feel like it would be even more difficult! Has anyone been through anything similar, what did you decide and how did it go? Thanks!

First birthday invite at nursery

My daughter received her first birthday invite yesterday at nursery since she started a couple months ago (😭🥹😭 I was pretty emotional lol)
But I’ve also got a 1 year old, as my daughter is my first and I’ve got no idea who the mum is etc but how do I go about it with my son. Does he come with me? Or do I get childcare? Or should o just simply text the mum?

Me as a mum wouldn’t mind if he came if it was my daughter’s party but I don’t want to be rude!

Period like Cramps!

I posted a week ago just about having some period like cramps, every few days. I’m 37 weeks + 2, last night around 8pm I had an intense pain in my back for 1-2 minutes and could’ve cried at the pain🤣 it then vanished, went to bed and woke up 4 times through the night with what felt like period cramping all across my pelvis, this is the most and consistent I’ve had it. I haven’t lost my mucus plug, no blood, water hasn’t broken! Could this be a sign that labour is close? Or is this just what happens? Thank you 🩷

Absolutely done

I am 39+ 3 and i feel absolutely drained with this pregnancy. My first pregnancy wasn’t as bad as this one. I had my first at 38 weeks on the dot. This baby is too comfortable up in there. I can’t remember the last time i slept properly. I’m waking up everyday in agony. Atp i am just done and can’t wait to have this baby🥲. Does anyone else feel the same way or is it just me. I’ve been doing the most to try and get labour started but no luck. Looks like it isn’t happening anytime soon😭

Do I have a tall baby?

I’m a first time mum to my 7 week old baby boy! At birth he measured 55cm tall and is now measuring at 66cm. He’s growing out of 0-3m due to his length. My health visitor commented on how long he is. I’m struggling to gage how tall other 7 week olds are lol just wondered if he’s tall compared to babies his age? 😅
