Would you be annoyed if a friend named their baby the same name your child had?

For context we had this name chosen for our second child if it was a boy, it has family meaning then I met my friend 3 years ago and her son has this name. I'm now pregnant and struggling to find another name we like as much, we aren't best friends just good friends. Not sure if I should just steer clear or ask her opinion and go from there but worry she'll feel awkward and say it's fine even if she doesn't mean it?! Would you be annoyed in this situation?

if you’re not super close and they’re not the same age i don’t see why it would be an issue

You had the name chosen since before you met this friend. You're not stealing the name from her as she has already used it. you just coincidentally both chose the same name. I'm sure if you explain the fact that you had this name picked out ages ago and the family connection to it she wouldn't have an issue :) 🥰 I wouldn't have any issue if my friend picked the name one of my existing children had. I think it would actually be kinda cute! X

If it’s someone close than it’s odd naming babies the same name but if you see each not to often it does not matter

I was in that position. Had a name picked nobody knew about. A friend gave birth and coincidentally gave her baby our name. My husband and I have decided to pick another name as we didn't want our baby to be only the second with this name, especially as our baby will be born only 4 months after our friend's baby. We had chosen this name because it's pretty rare, well and now it's not anymore. But it didn't have any history or deeper meaning, we just really liked it.

If it annoyed them and they decided not to be your friend anymore would you be that bothered? Or would you prefer to call your baby by that name forever. Friends come and go but you only name your child once.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!
