This is so weird. I’ve been having BH contractions pretty much every day, sporadically, since about 20 weeks. Now getting closer to the end (starting around 35-36 weeks), I noticed that they are so much more intense than they used to be. Still not painful, still not regular, but just a lot more noticeable. I get a feeling of pressure in my head like really bad congestion which builds as the contraction grows and then goes away. Also a slight feeling like it’s harder to breathe (not fighting for breath or anything but a sense of pressure there). And the contraction itself also is so much more noticeable. At 20-30 weeks it was more like I’d feel some heaviness in my belly and realize “oh my uterus got hard.” Now I can actually feel the different stages of it starting, growing, getting to a peak, and then releasing.
Just wondering if others had the same experience with their BH changing as they got further along?

Mine have been like that since like 20 weeks! I just had a bad one. It kinda feels like the circulation to your head gets cut off for a second. I always feel like I got punched in the stomach and got the wind knocked out of me.

Yes! That’s exactly what happens to me, that pressure in my face, my doula said is because all is connected and that’s the reason, but I haven’t ask my doctor, I start breathing to relax because it feels like I can’t have enough air, and that helps me. But yes this started happening around week 34 for me, now I am 37.
