I want to name my baby girl due in April, Saerys/Saeris, as I've loved the name for YEARS. However, I've had a friend say it's awful and too "fantasy" ): what do you think?

How do you pronounce it?

I like it. Its unusual but not weird. I saw the name Saera once. Its similar

i like it! the only problem with it is you'll CONSTANTLY have to explain how to pronounce it because the ae part will confuse everyone you know 🤦🏻♀️ coming from the mother of a baby named Aerith

I agree that Saerys does look rather fantasy, but I don’t think it’s awful or a bad choice. So what if some people have that association? Use it if you love it

I absolutely love the name! It's unique but not completely out there. It's a good mix. I'd def keep it 💯

I've seen someone name their daughter Seris, and I like that spelling. Not sure if the same pronunciation, though.

Where does it come from? I actually really like it but you/her will probably get lots of questions about where it’s from and what it means. Not a bad thing!

Have you thought about Sarai? Just a bit easier to spell

I like it! Did you make the name up yourself?

I prefer the spelling Saeris it looks more formal and like a name you would know
@Olivia @Kotah it's an old Irish name that means "Unending Dream". When I was a teenager, I constantly had dreams of giving birth to a daughter in April. When I found out I was due with a daughter this April, well, I knew I wanted to use it (or any name to do with dreams).

I love that. The name has a special meaning to you, I wouldn’t take the polls too seriously. If you like it you should go with it! My son’s name is Atlas and it gets mixed reviews but I don’t care what other people think lol

Sairis

It's beautiful you should do it

Aww! You gotta use it!
