Derby royal: asking for a second opinion or contacting consultant for change of mind

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and consultant led due to bmi but had no other issues throughout pregnancy. At my last scan baby's abdomen was big and they suggested to induce me at 39 weeks. I believe that the last scan was wrong, the technician rushed the appointment right before lunchtime, I was in and out in 6 minutes. I have been booked for the induction but have now changed my mind and would rather be scanned again before just to double check baby's measurements. I also wondered what is the latest for a scheduled c section and how I could ask for one, in many ways I'd prefer the c section over an induction. Who do I contact?

I'm not sure who to call, I'd try the antenatal clinic and see if they can get you another scan and app with the consultant? Or call the royal and go through the switchboard will probs get you through quicker. Much better to get a second look and discuss it more to make sure you feel good about everything.

I’d call your community midwife or PAU. Even though the induction is booked you don’t have to go through with it - when I was in for induction there was a lady there who was booked but didn’t want it and they didn’t do it. X

I'm calling today. Fingers crossed they hear me out.
