Is there anything that helped any of you ladies go into labor? This is my first child. Sadly can’t be sex. My Husband works offshore and he is not here at the moment.

Nipple stimulation

I sat on a yoga ball often and I walked 3 miles a day up until I went into labor at 39 weeks.

Walk... if you are full term walk and when you feel minor contractions and back pain dont sit down try to walk a bit more or they will stop again... stay inside the house and avoid stairs.

Don’t do the castor oil thing whatever you do

luckyyy!

you are right i wrote it first then i deleted it... it works but way too harsh on body...

I personally don’t think any of the things are real. Even my OB agrees that everything is just an old wives tale for the most part. Near the end is when all the women in the group start trying to induce labor. Since everyone is of course miserable and uncomfortable. But babies have the best outcomes if they stay in until full term. So there isn’t really any point in trying to get the baby to come sooner than they would have anyway. Unless you are like past 40 weeks then it’s like sure may as well try some stuff since can’t hurt anything. But baby will come when they are ready 😊 I will also say I tried lots of things with my first baby because I was past 40 weeks and I still had to get induced because he just didn’t want to come out lol. So all the “tricks” didn’t work even when I was overdue.

Seconding what Kara said. The only thing proven to do anything at all is nipple stimulation, but I think it has to be for at least an hour once you're full term anyway. Everything else is just a coincidence.

Curb walking, eating dates, red raspberry tea, Nipple stimulation.
But unless your body/baby are ready nothing is going to work :)
