Scheduled C Section

Has anyone ever had to do a scheduled c section because your baby is big? If so how many weeks were you?

Following because mine is big too

I have not personally but when I worked in OB and this was the case they would try to do it 36 to 38 weeks it kinda depends on how big baby is measuring and if there’s underlying health issues such as gestational diabetes

Turns out they would only schedule me 1 week before my due date since medically he is fine - he’s just big!

Yea I don’t think it’s something they would typically do c section for. People give birth to big babies all of the time! Mine has a head that’s measuring about 5 weeks ahead so we’ll see how that goes 😅

Mine is measuring around 4 weeks ahead for stomach and head! So he might come earlier but no later than 1 week before my due date!

Yea I had an OB appt today and she said sometimes the larger ones just like to come earlier. So I’m hoping that’s the case but not too early.

Omg same!!! I had my ob appt today too and when they tell me how big he is I get a little anxiety!

Same lol. I’ve been doing all the pelvic floor exercises to loosen up my pelvis so he doesn’t get stuck. I just hope it works.

My first schedule c-section was at 39weeks pregnant he was supposed to be 10 pounds 🙈 he came out 8 pounds and 15 oz
I have a second schedule c-section at 37weeks and 2days pregnant because of my age 🙃 I have 9 days left

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

I am so done with pregnancy !

Everything i do hurt . I sit down / i stand up / i walk / i lie down. I am in pain ! I am tired ! His mouvement hurt down there like electricity chock ! My back is on fire ! If i walk more then 5 minutes i feel like i am going to die ( low ferritine) the acid reflux is crazy . I mean i can’t and don’t wanna do this no more . Only 31 weeks !

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
