Elective C-section

I had my elective section at 39+3, I wanted earlier tho but unless there's a medical reason for it, they want to be as close to due date as possible

The earliest they told me they can book c section is 39 weeks, which is a week on Monday for me! Sooo nervous and excited now 9 days to go! Good luck with everything 🙏🏼

I asked for my elective at 36 weeks and they booked it for 40+2 weeks. I was disappointed as everyone I spoke with had theirs at 39 weeks

So with my second, I was due November 9. My plan C-section was November 6. I went into the hospital October 30th for pelvic pain turned out to be contractions and had my son on October 30th. I was 38w+6.

My c-secrion was confirmed as medically required at 18 weeks, they booked my date at about 30 weeks, and I had her at 39+2. I’m unsure whether I got a confirmed date so early because it was 100% happening that way and confirmed by my consultants so early..

I got told my date the week before I had my little one 🥰 I was around 38 weeks x

I was given my date for 39+1 weeks when I was 26 weeks x

I was originally booked for 38+4 but ended up having her at 37+4 due to high BP

I was booked in for the 10th March so I would’ve been 39+3 but for whatever reason they had to bring it forward to the 8th so I was 39+1. They wanted me to come in dead on 39 weeks but I requested not to as it was my birthday that day and didn’t really want to share a birthday 😅🤣 so he arrived the day after instead 🤣x

I was due May 13th and had my C section on May 10th. They would have done it at 39 weeks but it was on a Saturday, that Monday is my cousin's birthday and I was born on his dad's birthday so I refused that day, and they were fully booked on that Tuesday so I was scheduled for Wednesday. Mine was booked about a week and a half out but that's also around the same time I decided I wanted a c section(big baby, massive head). Normally they won't do it before 39 weeks unless something's up. This time I'm having it between 37-38 weeks because I'm having twins, I'm due July 1st but should be having them June 10th-17th, they haven't even mentioned booking it even though we all know I'm having a c section, I don't know how early to bring up scheduling but I have a specific date I want 😬🤣 I would honestly ask them at your next appointment, I think I'm too early to be asking quite yet 🤣

@Beth oh bless you girly, I can’t imagine your pain😅🤣 I mean it’s an expensive month for us too as it’s my birthday then it’s our little ones the next day then about a week later it’s my other half’s and then it’s Mother’s Day 🤣 x

I discussed mine with my OB at around 37-30 weeks and chose my C-section date right at 39 weeks exactly which was the earliest they’d do it.
