Hi all!
My daughter will start the nursery soon, at 1y. She still breastfeeds 4 times (morning, late morning, afternoon, evening) plus infinity during the night! How did you manage with the day feeds?
I know babies are supposed to get most nutrients from solid food at this age but she still takes lots of breastmilk.
I’ll be back at work so difficult to pump and in any case I cannot pump as much as when I breastfeed her.
Any advice?
Thanks!

Pump before work, pump at lunch time and right when she goes to bed. It should be enough for the day. Try to pump now and get some saved in the freezer for the first week so you don't feel overwelmed.

I exclusively pump 4times a day and it is enough for her day feed.

My LO is 16 months and started nursery in Jan. He has never taken a bottle and is still obsessed with breastfeeding (he hardly eats solid food 🙃). I was so so anxious about him being hungry etc but he has adapted SO well.
He does 9am-3pm twice a week. On those days I BF before I drop him off and then as soon as I pick him up.
By some miracle he falls asleep in the pram at nursery (he doesn’t do that with me!) and he just has a couple of snacks.
Because he only does two full days my supply hasn’t been impacted but he sometimes makes up for it over night. Good luck and enjoy the little bit of time it gives you to be yourself again! X
