Hi everyone!
I had a c section two weeks ago and never actually got told how long to wear the compression socks for.
Any idea??

My midwife said it would be ideal to wear them for the whole 6 weeks, which I did. It was a pain but it was for the best!

I wasn’t even offered one lol

I didn’t know about this and didn’t wear them at all lol

I had to wear them for 10 days x

I wear it once I’m about to sleep , if I’m moving around , I don’t use it

1st section I was told 7 days and nights- no injections.
2nd section no socks needed but 7 days of injections.
It’s just risk assessed on your clotting risk, your body type, weight, type of C-section etc. If you weren’t offered them that’s fine, just stay active.

I asked my obgyn and he said they don’t really recommend them anymore, and instead you can do 10 days of blood thinning injections. But I think every hospital is different! I’m relieved I don’t have to wear them to be fair

I had to wear mine for 6 weeks. It varies based on your individual risk score so give them a ring and ask.

I never once wore any so I think it’s up to you.

Mine got ruined day 2, so they were taken off and never replaced. My legs and feet swelled up like balloons, I just got told it was normal

I have a disability that prevents circulation in my lower legs and feet. I swear by compression socks. It's all I wear. So comfortable

I never wore the compression socks :/ midwifes did not give any advice about it so didn’t even know about this.. what the hell!!!!! 😂😂

I wore them for two weeks then jibbed them.

Keep them on for as long as you can. I took mine off for one day, and my legs ballooned like an old ladies. I then had to buy special plus size ones on Amazon, to fit over my legs. But they worked, shrank them down again. When they grew, they were so hard and painful. Please don't do that to yourself, learn from my mistakes
