Is it normal to get a call from the nursery saying LO’s bumped their head almost everyday? I know they wobble a lot and lose their balance but is this normal??? 😅

I've only had a call for a bumped head once and honestly I'm surprised it's not more often 🤣

For my first in the first year (I just looked at the app) I had 5 incident reports in the first year 😅but she started at 18 months, definitely surprised she didn’t get more, she fell over today on the way into nursery 😅. They do have to report it everytime though

I work in a nursery and everytime a child has a bump to the head, it’s in our policy to call parents and let them know… just in case. Xx

My boy started nursery in January aged 9 months. He only goes 10 hours a week and has had 3 weeks off with illness and holidays but for the limited amount of time he's actually been at nursery I've already received 5 bump to head incident notifications! He's been learning to crawl and pull himself up so at his age and development I don't think it's unusual and he's never been left with any marks from a fall. I feel that at least they're letting him explore as long as they intervene if they can foresee a significant risk.
