wakings

hello, i am in need of some advice because i am extremely severely exhausted as my almost 8 month old has been waking up every hour (not being dramatic) for the last couple of weeks. she’s not waking up to eat cause i give her a bottle and she doesn’t take it. i give her ora gel to help incase she’s teething. we already got through her regression cause it was hell about a month ago too. she’s never slept throughout the night since she was born. i change her diaper every time she does wake up incase she just wants a dry clean diaper. i make sure she’s not cold or hot. she has so much energy every single time she does wake up and it’s killing me. i am a single mom and we live alone so i don’t have any help especially through this since it’s always worse at night. she rarely takes naps during the day as well so i don’t understand how she isn’t being tired.

So it sounds like she is severely overtired. I know you said that she barely takes any naps during the day, so you don't understand how she can't be tired enough, well at this age babies need 2.5 to 3.5 hours of daytime sleep. Their wake windows should be 2.5 hours to 3.5
An overtired baby wakes up more at night because their bodies release stress hormones like cortisol, making it harder to fall asleep and stay asleep, essentially putting them in a "fight-or-flight" mode. This is why when she wakes up she seems like she is full of energy.

I finally had my meltdown over the same problem this morning😅 mine doesn’t wake every hour so you’re already doing better than me. I think it is a teething/ separation anxiety. I heard oragel only helps for a short time so I use the wellements night time teething oil. It has chamomile to help soothe and my baby’s really likes it. That mixed with co sleeping really helps just make sure you’re being safe

I agree with Christina, babe sounds overtired. At this age, sleep begets sleep and no sleep...begets no sleep. It's very opposite of what we think as an adult.
It's hard to tell if there is some day and night confusion, but that could be part of it. Start a night routine if you aren't already-it triggers them to sleep mode. And if she wakes overnight-makenit super boring, don't do nappy changes unless poop, keep it dark, don't play with her. Just rock, sign, stories, sleepytime stuff. Of you feel ok with it-cosleeping (either next to you or on you) can really help with your sleep. Look up how to do it safely. Some babes will just stay asleep so much more with another warm body next to them and the smell of mom.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
