Combi fed baby having short breast feeds

I’m currently combi feeding but my little girl will only be on the breast around 10 minutes or so for a feed (the longest was 20 minutes today) but the HV told me today all breast feeds should be at least 20 minutes. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Im also going through this.. baby falls aeep after 5 mins on the boob… i pump for the 20 mins but i was told to keep latching to help with supply no matter how long she nurses for.. also have you tried undressing her to nurse? I do that but she still falls asleep

Yeah I'm right there with you. When we were doing breast only his weight kept dropping. Had to switch to bottle feeding pumped milk to get his weight up. I'm so sick of pumping...

There is no length of time feeds “should” be. Babies don’t go by the clock. It’s much more important to pay attention to their diaper output and make sure they’re actually sucking and swallowing while nursing as opposed to just flutter sucks. You can try switching sides to see if she will feed a little bit longer that way, but around 10 minutes doesn’t seem abnormal.

This is my second baby where i am combo feeding. I had the same worry with my first but I had a strong milk pressure and my baby would drink fast. Once he was a couple months old, the feeds were only 5mins. As long as the baby is gaining weight and having many dirty diapers, I think it should be fine.
I always feed on one breast (baby falls asleep), then do diaper change to wake them up and then feed on the other breast.

Our little girl feeds between 5-20 minutes at a time and the midwives are absolutely fine with that. Most commonly she'll do 10 minutes

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
