I’m getting the disposable underwear and pads from Fridamom - Do I or shall I get any of this extra stuff? Their website says about cooling foam (I think that’s it) Also heard about spritz for bits?

There’s so much of that stuff and it’s not the cheapest so I’d just like to know what everyone else has or is getting!☺️

I got distilled witch hazel from boots. So much cheaper. And I got the ice pads

I was gifted spritz for bitz by a friend.😂 So taking it as a recommendation. I'm going to get the disposable knickers and pads but just see how I go if I need the cooling foam or cooling ice packs!

I always buy my friends spritz for bits as part of their baby shower hamper! 🤣 they keep it in the fridge and said it’s amazing! I haven’t used it personally as I had a c section but I will take their words for it!

Avatar

I didn't bother. Warm shallow bath to soothe and clean worked for me x

Avatar

I wouldn’t, in case you end up with an emergency c section. You can buy it afterwards if needed. The pain relief from the hospital usually works pretty well for the first 24 hours. The only thing I wish I had taken was a peri bottle thing.

Do they work the same way? Do I still need a pad as well? X

Avatar

No need for a pad, they are totally absorbent

Avatar

Amazing, I’ll give them a go. Probably will still get pads anyway just because I’m paranoid😂😂

Honestly these things won’t leak haha I think they are made for bladder incontinence so they hold so much liquid 🤣 I used them at the start when the bleeding was heaviest then moved on to big massive cotton pants from M&S with lil-lets maternity pads ☺️

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
