I got told minimum 12m
I haven’t had a C-section but before giving birth my midwife said if I did I should wait 18-24 months
Was told 20 months (emergency c section)
I was told 12-18 ❤️
Literally after my daughter turned 1
I’m waiting 18 months total to try for another
I got pregnant 10 months after an emergency section then 22 months after a planned section.
I waited 12 months and now I am pregnant again. Doctor told me to wait 18 months so it came as a surprise since the first pregnancy was IVF and this is natural. It’s like a gift for us 😊
I was told 18 months
I was told 18months
I was told 12months because of my age, no time to wait
Started trying after 18 months
I'm waiting until end of the year ~ new years for second baby. He was born in October. It really all depends on how your section went, was it an emergency or elective?, did your pregnancy go well.. no complications? , was you healthy? Was baby born okay? Xx
i was told minimum 12m but 18m would be best x

Got told 18 months to let your body heal
I was told 18 months after my elective c section, I got pregnant with twins at 17 months postpartum. We weren't actually trying but it was the first time we didn't do anything to prevent it that I got pregnant 🤣
It depends on your birth, body and postpartum but typically it’s 18 months between birth and is what I was told by my doctor
Waited 20m to try and got pregnant first time. No issues in second pregnancy.
@Kyla hello! I had an emergency c-section as my daughter was sat in an unsafe position and had swelling on her head. Luckily she was born perfectly fine and there was no complications during the c-section or with my recovery. I had a very healthy pregnancy but I was induced due to a scan showing reduced growth. The scan was wrong and my daughter was 8lb 4oz x
I was told 18mo before trying again due to the traumatic birth and problems I had post partum. However, almost 19mpp and physio is advising against trying yet as issues still haven’t resolved. Not a problem for me as I don’t want another yet but just shows how things can change and even initial advice may not be relevant later down the line! All depends on recovery really.
I have a 14 month old and currently 34 weeks pregnant. C sections for both
my dr recommended 18 months. My son is 17 months so me and my husband been discussing trying again soon
I was advised 18 months but found out I was pregnant on my son’s first birthday. Ooops🤷🏻♀️
18 months between deliveries. Will start trying at 9m PP.
Confused on timing with a lot of these comments— is it 18 months between births? Or 18 months between birth and getting pregnant?
18 months waiting period so the incisions and uterus can heal completely
@Megan I think it varies. I was told 18m before trying so that everything would have time to fully heal before carrying another baby. However, I’m now 19mpp and physio is advising I would struggle with another pregnancy currently (which I agree with) so no way I would have been in a position to give birth 18m on.
After six weeks, I was told as long as I stopped bleeding and it felt ok and didn’t hurt then I could do the deed (I also had a placenta abruption so I bled for a long time)
@Megan I was told to wait 18 months to get pregnant again. However, when I went to my first OB appointment they offered me a VBAC even though I got pregnant at around 17 months postpartum and am having twins, so I think they just prefer you to wait that long 😂

I was just told 18-24 months between labour's so my husband and I will be trying for a rainbow baby 10/11 months pp
Baby 1 was 9 months when i got pregnant again
I was told 18 months
@Megan I was told 18 montha before trying to get pregnant again. Obviously people do it earlier, But I think that is recommended so your body can heal 100% before going through another pregnancy
I never dilated on my own and even with the max amount of cytotech when I went in L&D after my water broke. I was in labor for almost 26 hours in the hospital and my doc advised me to do a selective C-section. So I did after I asked him my questions. I’m one of my questions was would all of my births need to be C-sections he said no as long my pregnancies are at least 12 months apart, but his doctor recommendation was 18-20 months apart to have everything healed by then. And I think if my boyfriend and I work out our issues by the time, my daughter is that age we will probably try for another at that point!
I was told 12-18months before trying to get pregnant when at the hospital. The GP said 12 is the minimum and should be fine, but I haven't had any post partum complications/issues so I'm sure it's different for everyone!
The husband and I have talked about how timing would affect my maternity leave. In Canada, we need to work a minimum of 6 months in order to qualify again. So I wouldn’t be able to try again until May. But ideally… I’d want to wait the recommended 18 month time frame. But I’m also older in age and kind of just want to get it over and done with especially since I hated being pregnant.
@Natty depending on where you live in Canada it’s just based on hours. The max being 700 so that’s really only like 4 months if you’re working full time. 4.5 depending on holidays and what not.
12-18 months I was told
