Feels like my 16 month old will be breastfeeding until she's 16🤣
Trying to get her to chill out a bit more when she's nursing for a nap and bed. She violently plays with my other nipple and when I try different ways to get her to stop she just gets so uncalm and fights me for it.
1. Is this normal?
2. How have you dealt with it?
I'm also trying to wean her off night feeds but am struggling as she uses it as comfort. I've tried water, different bottles, different milks & expressed by, tried soothing technique, I've even been away from the house over night to try get back into night shifts. She was up from 11pm till when I got home at 7am, she was a tired mess I felt so bad. I figured she wasn't ready so just never tried again.
How did you successfully navigate this with an aggressive boobmonster?🤣

My son was exactly the same! And it's normal, our boobs are such a source of comfort for them. He's 17 months and I only weaned him a month ago. By then he was only on night feeds, but would happily have day feeds if I let him.
The only way I could wean was to get my husband to go in and settle him for three nights, then after that we went back to cosleeping, but I'd just pat his back if he woke. It didn't take long for him to get used to no more feeds. He still constantly wants to have his hands down my top though and to play with my nipples now 😅 but doesn't try to get a feed anymore

I could have written this myself 😂 Right there with you
