Baby & toddler food

Fussy/Picky Eater

My toddler boy is 20 months old now. Refusing to eat most of the things I offer. Eating patterns regressed since sometime now. 6 months ago, i was blessed with another baby boy. Dairy Diet (mainly, cow's milk) cutting his milk got him eating a few nibbles here and there and we are again back to square one of not eating at all especially when down with flu. Tips for picky eaters, please.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding weaning

Feels like my 16 month old will be breastfeeding until she's 16🤣 Trying to get her to chill out a bit more when she's nursing for a nap and bed. She violently plays with my other nipple and when I try different ways to get her to stop she just gets so uncalm and fights me for it.

  1. Is this normal?
  2. How have you dealt with it? I'm also trying to wean her off night feeds but am struggling as she uses it as comfort. I've tried water, different bottles, different milks & expressed by, tried soothing technique, I've even been away from the house over night to try get back into night shifts. She was up from 11pm till when I got home at 7am, she was a tired mess I felt so bad. I figured she wasn't ready so just never tried again. How did you successfully navigate this with an aggressive boobmonster?🤣

Baby sleep

How long does your toddler nap for?

My little boy naps for 2hrs, but wakes at 3am and struggles to get back to sleep and then usually wakes up to start the day at 5/5.30am. He also goes to be pretty late, at around 8.30/9.

Every time I've tried to cut his nap back a bit he's woken so upset and has been tired and miserable for the rest of the day. Anyone else struggling with sleep? My daughter wasn't like this, she slept through from 11 months, so I'm not sure what to do with him

Breastfeeding

Bubs with allergies

Hi Ladies. My bub has mild/moderate allergies to cow's milk as well as egg (I think) and some nuts. I was hoping at one I could wean him from breastmilk on to cows' milk but not able to and not sure about alternative milks. Have just started the iMAP milk ladder. Would love to connect with any other Mum's in the same boat if there is any!

Husband thinks I’m being unreasonable

If you are too sick to care for yourself and the baby, should your partner stay home from work or return home early to help?

My husband thinks it's acceptable for me to take care of both myself and our toddler while I’m feeling unwell and not coping. It has happened many times.
