Bedtime

I feel like i’m failing my son. I’ve never been good at bed times or routines and have always been kind of free flowing with it. He usually falls asleep in his carrier between like 8-10pm with some variations. ie, sometimes he wakes up and we let him play for a little to put him back to sleep. We usually lay him down for sleep officially between 10pm-11:30pm when we are in the room since he sleeps only when knowing we are with him. I feel guilty for being so dysfunctional and I try my best but often feel like the day gets away from me. I am often dragging a** through the day because I’m so tired. Then night hits and I panic because I have so much to do and end up having to just let my little boy sleep in his carrier whenever it happens. I feel guilty and am trying to change but it is so hard to break habits I’ve had for years. I worry I am negatively impacting him. Just looking for advice or words of encouragement.

Your doing so well, its so easy to feel guilty for not doing this or simply going for a walk with them! Mum guilt eats us alive! My boy has never really had a routine, he's 13 months. He goes to sleep from anywhere between 7-10:30pm, i follow him and i feel comfortable doing that and thats what works for us, never feel guilty for not following certain things some mums obsesses over. On days we don't really have money i don't really go out but he happily plays and watches duggee which is his favourite, once my partners paid we go shopping on friday, the weekends we try and do much depending on how tired my partner is as he's a scaffolder or if he's working the weekend. We go on dog walks, out for food, see his nanny n grandad, aunties, uncles and cousins, or even simply walking to the shop. You can do it, its so hard being a first time mum or even being a mum in general!🩷us girls are here to help xx

If it works for all of you then do it. I never had schedules for either of my kids and that's what we thrive on. We let them decide when they are tired (within reason because my 3.5yo would stay up until 1am if you let him lol). If he's happy, healthy, and growing then I'd say you're doing fine

Oh hun that's so young. You're doing just fine.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
