Hello, I was just wondering if anyone else if having difficulty losing their lower stomach after having a c-section. I have tried multiple different diets, calorie deficits etc however can’t get rid of it. Does anyone have any tips or advice ?

The lower stomach is very normal after a c-section they call it the “pouch”. Unfortunately no amount of exercise will shift it as it’s more swelling and scare tissue than fat! Look up c-section massage as that can reduce the appearance!

18 months pp & can fully relate 😅😭

Check out GetMomStrong on instagram - she has specific advice for post Csection and general postpartum core strengthening etc. Her advice is all physio approved and wonderfully body positive.

I have been doing pelvic floor exercises from Hinge Health and I felt that the pouch which was low hanging has now become slightly tighter and its not so low hanging anymore. Hoping for the best. Going to continue these exercises and talk to the physical therapist on there. Hope this helps.

It goes down slowly. I didn't rush. Two years later, I am pretty flat. I do have a tiny pouch but so much less than in the beginning. I also started pelvic exercises from a sword app. I think that helps further.
