Hey my baby has been on this milk since she was a month so happy to answer any questions just give me a message xx

Thank you both! He’s also only been on it for a week and 2 days but his poo has gone orange? And when he poos I can hear it come out of him like he’s farting if that makes sense… sorry for being gross haha. Is that normal?

Avatar

My baby is exactly the same but she is combi fed breast too, her poo was always yellow on breast milk but since introducing this, it has gone slightly darker and yes, you can hear it coming out like a fart🤣🙃 she was the same with just breast milk and midwife told me it was because it is easier to digest, maybe he is digesting this formula easier? I believe orange is a normal colour but you know your baby best so if you have concerns I’d check with a midwife! Xx

@Kas it's totally normal it's a different type of milk with maybe different ingredients in it which means his tummy has to get used to it and if he's farting that's even better because that means the wind isn't getting trapped so that means not painful tummies xx poo changes colour and along as there's not blood in it and it's not rock hard tour all good don't worry to much about the colour thou do be prepared for the blowout my little one had so many transitioning onto the milk as it was different but it's all good

Avatar

@ava Yes we had our first one of them today it was absolutely everywhere!😂 he is farting but it’s like he’s pushing out his poo and it’s just coming out ooo instead haha. He’s got a sore bum since being on this milk too and cries when he farts 😅 which makes me wonder if it’s not agreeing with him or if I just need to persevere a bit longer xx

Avatar

thank you yes he defo is digesting it easier he was always constipated before and screams after feeds but he’s much more chilled now! Apart from crying when he farts 😂 we have the health visitor tomorrow so I’ll ask then! Thank you xx

Mines been on it since birth ((nearly 8 months now)) x

Avatar

did you find the same change in stools? And mine is still being sick due to reflux just not as bad as we was before we swapped the milk but it has only been a week

Avatar

I didn’t at all! But might just be getting used to a different main ingredient in the formula? Are you using colic bottles or anything? We used colic bottles and no reflux- not sure if it’s linked x

Hey mamas! Are your LOs taking this due to milk allergy? Did you have to get it prescribed by the GP? How did you go about it? We’re considering switching to this to help with eczema. TIA!

Avatar

I got it prescribed after my LO massively broke out in angry red rashes around 6 weeks old (combi fed) Took her to the GP and he thought it was a milk allergy and prescribed it on the spot x

Avatar

Thank you!

hey, my little girl was screaming after feeds with trapped wind, constipated etc so went to the GP and this was prescribed, the midwife recommended another one which can be bought from Amazon which is also the same for a cows milk allergy which is by SMA x

Along them same lines aswell! It is prescribed but I think you can buy it on the aptimil

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
