Breastfeeding

Been breastfeeding since day baby was born 6 days now. He’s great through the day has a feed then has a sleep but noticing at night time 6/7pm been a few nights now he goes on but he’s on and off for literally hours like it’s just not satisfying him, anyone else finding this? When I asked the breast support worker she said he’s probably just cluster feeding, he is also sometime the same in the night so I’ve been giving formula also to help

Yes, had the same with my little one. It does sound like cluster feeding where baby is building up your supply and that's usually common in the evening / night time. As long as he's putting on weight and having a good number of nappies then it shouldn't be anything to worry about - though doesn't stop it being inconvenient! X

This is what my baby is like & it can go on all through the night. She only eventually sleeps when I give a bottle of expressed milk or formula. I literally dread the time of day coming because I know I basically have to sit there for hours feeding without her being satisfied

we managed all day on boob and one bottle yesterday as he was literally on and from 1:30pm til 5:30pm he did better at night but he definitely goes to sleep for longer after the bottle! I’m surprised that he’s doing this so early on but it’s there for a reason! Just keep thinking every day it’s getting better! x

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
