Episiotomy ladies!

Hey ladies,
I’m 6wks postpartum tomorrow and had an episiotomy. The midwives have checked lots of times & i’m healing well with no infections whatsoever.

However i still have some stitches left and also feeling very dry and ‘open’ - has anyone else found this?

It definitely looks wider than it used to and feels uncomfortable still, almost like it’s now exposed to the elements (as opposed to being hidden away and tidy like before)! 🤣🙈

Just wondering if i’m not alone or whether actually they should have stitched me up a little better!

I’m 6 weeks postpartum and mine is still a bit open, I went to the doctors about it and she said she wasn’t too worried but gave me cream to help it heal. She thinks I wasn’t sewn quite tight enough. If you’re worried maybe see your gp.

i have my 6wk check next week so i will ask then! What type of cream is it? 🤔 sounds good!

oh gosh that sounds painful sorry to hear. I did see the gp and she wasn’t very helpful but i am seeing her again next week for my 6 wk check so i will ask her to check again then.

3 months i didnt know that! I saw the pelvic health team (wonder why you have to wait until you’re 11 wks pp, i saw mine at 5 weeks) but she just gave me advice and told me to do pelvic exercises for 1 min per day if i could to try build it back up.

I will give it more time but sortof hoped it would be fully healed by now!

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
