Labour before elective section?

Currently pregnant with baby #2 and will be going for an elective c-section at Kingston Hospital. #1 was vaginal delivery that ended up in a 3rd degree tear, haemorrhage and PTSD after the midwives denied me epidural at St Helier and left me without proper pain relief. My labour was 6 hours in total, so pretty fast for first time.
I’m really scared I may go into labour before the surgery date - what happens if you do? My #1 was born 39w + 4d.

You let them know and they’ll get you in , ask if you want to continue labouring of go ahead with section

I was booked for a c-section on the 4th and went into labour on the 3rd you just let them know you still want a c-section and they’ll do it it’s just then classed as an emergency section x

Just classed as an ‘emergency’ I was told at my hotspots that you just ring them if you go into labour x

My water broke the morning of my elective section (literally an hour before we left for the hospital). I started getting contractions right away. When I got to the hospital I let them know straight away and they gave me the option to go for a natural birth. I ended up continuing with my elective section and the hospital was alright with my choice

Also, from those saying it’s emerg it can still be a calm and relaxed experience. I was emerg with my first and still had music and relaxed atmosphere with a lion king moment. So just be prepared for your section a lil earlier just in case xx

My first labour was also six hours but ended in an emergency csection so I chose an elective the second time round. I was booked in for 38+4 but went into labour at 38+1. I messaged my doctor when I felt the contractions. They just took me in for a csection as planned and classed it as an emergency, even though it was all pretty chill.

My first I went into labor at 38w+6d and I had to do an emergency C-section. I got pregnant with my second around four months postpartum I went into labor at 38w+4d and we did we still did the C-section. I had a scheduled C-section they just went ahead and did the C-section because I was laboring.

Please please advocate for yourself. My waters broke the day before my elective and I was sent home because 'I wouldn't progress so quickly as it was my first' needless to say, I did progress quickly and went back to the hospital once contractions were close together, but they just put me in a room and told me I'd be fine to wait until my elective time (in about 6hrs time). I wasn't and I didn't have a c section. I wish I'd have kicked up a fuss, but at the time I just trusted what they were saying.

With my middle daughter I went into Labor the day before my scheduled c section and after 7 and a half hours with no pain meds not even ice chips they finally did the c section

I was asked if I wanted to try naturally or have my section

This happened to me a few weeks ago. My section was scheduled for the Friday and I went into labour the Sunday before.
I got to the hospital at 1.10pm and she was born at 2.56pm so it all happened pretty quickly. They did ask several times if I wanted to still go ahead but I said yes and didn’t feel under any pressure not to have the section.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

Newborn stage

Is anyone tired of doing the same thing everyday and being on a 2-3 hour schedule? It’s the same everyday and I feel like I’m losing my mind. It’s making me depressed even if I get out once a day. When does it get better? I feel like I’m just waiting for the next stage where it’s not just sitting around all day.
