Behavioural issues

I have an appointment with the hv tomorrow to discuss my concerns but thought I would see if anyone else is/has gone through something similar and whether my son could potentially have ASD traits. Things that make me think he could potentially have Autism are putting fingers in his ears a lot ( doesn’t seem to be just when there is a loud noise, it’a quite random when he does it), he tip toe walked ( seems to of stopped for now), huge melt downs where he is very aggressive (mainly towards me), purposely banging his head hard out of frustration or just for fun, gets very overwhelmed when it comes to doing fun things ( going on a tractor or a train ride). Things that make me think he’s not are responds to his name, quite interactive with other kids, speech is starting to improve, makes good eye contact, understands quite a lot and listens to direction, does pretend play. My main concern his the huge meltdowns and aggressive behaviour which I know tantrums are developmentally normal for his age but I feel like the level he gets too where he smacking his head against walls and the floor and attacking me isn’t normal.
Sorry I know this is a long post, but it’s something I am really struggling to cope with so in need of some advice x

I would say it's always a fine line between 'expected' and signs of ASD or something else, getting a professional opinion won't hurt. I will say Ive known many children get frustrated to that level but I've also known children who don't. It's really difficult to differentiate between signs and symptoms and expected behaviour so I think whilst it is likely to be okay it absolutely doesn't hurt to check the behaviour over :)

How did it go? I have no advice but my son was also banging his head in tantrums or hitting it. Or from boredom. It's got a lot better recently with more verbal communication and redirecting to clapping and drumming /throwing ball. He needs a lot of rough play and outside time.

He doesn't tiptoe or cover ears much (except to experiment) or get overwhelmed on trains
Also does pretend play and eye contact and follows instructions and improving speech. Doesn't really hit us. If he does we say no he cries a little bit gets distracted then it's fine

Idk if that helps at all

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
