Massage gun during labour?

This is probably a stupid question but i got a massage gun for Christmas. But it’s quite powerful so haven’t used it during pregnancy incase it causes any damage. However, i was wondering if this is something that could be used during labour. Or do we think that it wouldn’t be advised?

I asked my midwife if I can use my massage gun whilst pregnant and she said it’s absolutely fine! I guess it’ll be fine during labour too! X

Personally, I wouldn’t use it. I wanted to book a deep tissue massage during my first trimester, but the masseuse told me it could be really dangerous and might even induce early labour, so I wouldn’t risk it. There are certain pressure points that can trigger labour if pressed, so it’s best to avoid it unless you know exactly where not to apply it. It’s probably safest to check with a professional first.
