So my son is 4. Non verbal. We're awaiting assessment for anything official. But he's very big on sensory seeking. Recently ( last 2 weeks nearly 3) he has refused to wear anything but a specific pair of velour pjs he got for christmas. I'm not at the point we own 3 different styles of the same textured ohs as he refuses to wear anything else. Even his school uniform which he enjoys.
I'm just wondering if this is a common phase or comfort thing. Is there anything I can do to support or is it just something he may transition himself back out of when he's decided he's done. .

Have you tried asking him to wear other things in order to get to wear or eat the things he wants ? But if it's too much and he has a tantrum and really doesn't wanna maybe just wait til he grows out of the phase ... what's the worst thing that can happen he likes to wear that material only lol not such a bad thing don't worry too much about it 🩷
