Yes that pain ain’t no joke when you try to sit up especially in the hospital bed it’s sooooo uncomfortable
I would say maybe about a month you should feel more like your self. Prepare to feel the tingling sensation above your incision when it starts to heal
I had my c section last Friday and day two was the worst for me. From then it started quickly getting better. I’m still having issues sitting up etc, but for day 5 I’m feeling very mobile, just make sure you keep on top of your painkillers and don’t be afraid to ask for stronger ones!
Just wanted to add to what's been said, don't feel afraid to ask for help with the baby too. I had to ask nurses to had him to me or put him down that first two nights.
Keep on top of those meds! And listen to your body. Putting a pad against the section wound helps it stay dry and heal quicker as well. X
Currently same position here. My daughter will be 2 weeks old tommrow and had my first csection and tubal removal. I will say by day 5 or 6 I was feeling better, but even when you do feel better to take it easy and take ibuprofen I'm currently still bleeding which google has given me alot of things saying it should keep getting lighter, but on the days Im more active I'm bleeding more. (Just make sure your not soaking a pad an hour) I'm wishing you well momma.
Take it easy if you need to. I've had 2 sections (having my 3rd in the summer!). When I was pregnant with my second, someone told me about Arnica tablets. You can get them from Holland and Barrett and are tiny so easy to swallow. They heal internal bruising. I took them from day one and I wish I'd know about them the first time round, they were amazing! Definitely worth trying!! Anyone I know who is pregnant I tell to buy them just incase!! Hope you get better soon! Xx
@Crystal I second arnica tablets, I took them (my mum's very big on homeopathy) and maybe that's why I healed so fast idk?🤷🏻♀️ You can get them on Amazon
C section recovery differs from person to person and levels. So you're looking at 3/4 months (depending on what your doctor says) for exercise, however light exercise after 6/8 weeks, if I remember correctly. That horrible "I can't sit up" issue should ease about a week and a half? For me, that was the worst thing. Aside from that, I was very mobile personally, however I know people who weren't able to do anything due to the pain etc. ofc, for me, I just had a c section & not my tubes done too. Wishing you a speedy and healthy recovery
