Pregnancy after c section

I am now 19 months PP form my first. We are starting to try again for our second. I had an emergency c-section & it was pretty traumatic for me. I had a hard time talking about it for awhile, & every once in awhile I still have a hard time with it. I am REALLY trying for a VBAC next time. 1) I’m so nervous about trigger anxiety when I get pregnant with the fear of another c section 2) I’m nervous about it being more difficult to get pregnant due to my c section. The first time we were blessed and it came pretty quickly.

Very similar situation. 20 months PP 11 weeks pregnant. Traumatic c section. I’ve had 2 appointments and one I couldn’t even walk into. I wish I could say you won’t be anxious but so far I’ve definitely had some triggers.

I had an elective c section with my first and I'm choosing an elective this time, I have big babies and it's the safer option for me and I would rather choose that than end up with an emergency c section, so I can't speak on the trauma or a vbac. However, for both pregnancies the first time I didn't do anything to prevent it, I got pregnant, so the c section didn't hinder me from getting pregnant at all. I actually got pregnant with twins 17 months postpartum. I have had no issues with my pregnancy so far and I'm 28 weeks.

We got pregnant 9 mo after an emergency C-section and it only took 2 cycles. Aiming for vbac but looks like I might have placenta previa, little bugger.

I would definitely recommend going to therapy if you haven’t already. I had horrible trauma from my emergency C section 16 months ago, postpartum hemorrhage, cord wrapped around her neck, uterus tearing etc. and I couldn’t look at or touch my scar for months. After talk therapy and physical therapy, i was able to do scar massage which has helped tremendously and also able to freely talk about the experience. I also did Nancy Andersons postpartum program which is awesome for healing pelvic floor and by the time I got pregnant this time at 1 year, i was feeling fantastic. I’m 19 weeks now with baby boy and no issues so far!
