Vbac or planned section

Question for any mommas who had an emergency section with no1. What are your thoughts for birth no2? I was set on vbac before getting pregnant but now I’m leaning more towards planned section. Just wondering what other people’s thoughts are? I’m very nervous and scared of both but I have to choose one 😂

My 1st was an emergency section then with my 2nd I had vbac, went soo smooth I only pushed for 12 minutes in labour for 5 hours. With my first I was in labour for a day. With my 3rd I am opened minded x

What was the reason for emergency section with no1? If you don’t mind me asking? I’m scared of going for a vbac then having to be put to sleep again x

I'm going for a planned section. I had an emergency c section last year under general anaesthetic with some complications during the surgery so it's been advised I have a section!

@Chelsea Lewis hi Chelsea, if you don’t mind me asking how long was there between your 1st section and your vbac? I really want to try for a vbac but I only had my section 7 months ago x

I had preeclampsia and towards the end of labour I stopped progressing at 8cm x

I had my mind made up for a VBAC right after my C-section 🤣 I had my C-section January 2024, so it will be just shy of 2yrs when this baby is due. I have always wanted to have a vaginal delivery and I believe recovery will be easier on me than with my C-section.

I had a section with my first as my labour wasn’t progressing. I think straight after I thought next time I’m def doing a section but now I’m pregnant again (and choosing a different hospital) I’m hoping for a VBAC

I had emergency csec Jan 2024 too, I'm hoping for VBAC. IF they push to induce me though I'll opt for elective csection. I really mourned the fact I never got to experience it the first time and so much was out of my control but I won't be sad if it doesn't happen this time.
